The Knox County Schools Art Department, through the outstanding professionalism of dedicated and experienced administration, staff and teachers, provides an unparalleled level of Art instruction to the young people of Knox County.The expertise of these individuals has been recognized in many ways ranging from selection for national and international study through NAEA, the National Gallery, Fulbright Foundation, and others to state and national awards as a group and a department.
Many serve as committee members on state curriculum development, textbook adoption, and National Board Certification committees. The tireless efforts of all members of the Art Department on behalf of young people are unequalled in the state or nation.
Department News  Art Department Welcomes New TeachersOn Friday, August 7 Dr. Patterson welcomed new faces to the Art Department during the 2009 New Teacher Celebration at Central High School.
